Your content stays in your browser

YAML, schemas, rule packs and reports are processed by JavaScript running on your device. They are never sent to a server operated by ValidateYAML or anyone else. Remote schema references are never fetched.

What is stored locally

Drafts, settings, your schema library and history snapshots are stored in this browser’s IndexedDB; the theme choice in localStorage. You can delete all of it on the Reports page, or enable memory-only mode. Clearing site data in your browser also removes it.

Analytics and advertising

This build includes no analytics and no ad scripts. If advertising is enabled in a future build, ad slots will appear only outside the workspace and this page will be updated before that happens.

Hosting

The static files are served by a hosting provider that may keep standard access logs (IP address, requested URL, user agent). Those logs never contain your YAML.
